Mission Statement
The Friends of the Newbury Town Library is a volunteer organization dedicated to the enhancement of our library. We see our library as the cornerstone of our community and a vital resource center for patrons of all ages. The Friends generates awareness for programs and services, raises funds and supports the needs of our library that are not met due to the towns limited budget. The Friends is a vital source of income to provide invaluable programs, sevice and equipment to our library. Through fund raisers, dues collections and generous donations from our patrons, we are able to support the library by paying for the following :
Museum Passes
Childrens and Young Adult Programming
Computer hardware and software
Books, DVD and other materials
Author lecture series
Geneaology Programs
Overall maintenance that the library cannot afford
Invitation to Join
If you care about our library then please consider becoming a Friend. We are a "no pressure" organization. We send out emails periodically to keep memebers informed of upcoming events. You can be involved with any activities you wish and participation is completely on a voluntary basis. We send out an annual newsletter in September and we hold an annual meeting open to all Friends in October which usually features a guest speaker. Become a member today by printing out the form below and dropping it off at the library. You'll be supporting our library and enriching the lives of our community.
