The Massachusetts Book Awards
The Massachusetts Childrens Book Awards 2010 - 2011
master list has been published by Salem State College.
The Childrens Room has all of the titles on this year's list.
Newbury Elementary School and other local elementary schools recommend this list to their students in grades 4 to 6
and encourage their students to read books from it
and vote on their favorites.

Mass Book Awards Web Site
After reading five of the books children are encouraged to
vote for their favorite. The web site includes a grade level guide
for each of the titles. Copies of this list and the guide
are available at the Library. In July any of the books available as audio books will be available for loan at the library also.
Come and get the titles while they are on the shelf and let the
librarians help you to request titles you may have on your
wish list to read. Ask a library staff member how you
can request titles from your computer at home so that you
will be notified when it becomes available.
