Newcomers always welcome!
The Newbury Library Quilters met on Monday August 30,
sharing our designs for the fundraiser planned for the Library.
We are working on wall-hanging sized
Quilts to be
raffled in the spring.
Our designs are based on area icons. Represented as yet are the Byfield parish Church, a Classic New England Barn, the Yellow School House, Dole-Little House, Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm,
as well as Old Newbury Gravestones. They are fabulous!
Some of us are planning on attending the first meeting of the season of the Merrimack Valley Quilters on Thursday, September 16, in Plaistow. They are the group responsible for the beautiful Storybook Quilts on display in the Children’s Room. If you haven’t seen them yet, walk through,
they are really remarkable !
